Serving Valdez
in grace and love.

Wherever you are on your faith journey, you are welcome here.

Welcome

Epiphany is a community where we gather to grow in Christ and learn from each other’s journeys.

We are committed to being a community of equity and justice that breaks down barriers. We welcome you to join in service, advocacy, and compassionate action through God’s command to love our neighbor.

Know that we love, celebrate and affirm who you are, just as you are. As a church Reconciled in Christ, we rejoice in diversity of thought, race, class, ethnicity, age, religious background, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, educational background, and physical and mental ability.

Our Ministry Team

Pastor Nick Schoob

We are honored to welcome Pastor Nick Schoob (they/them) to Epiphany Lutheran-Episcopal Church. Pastor Schoob was ordained in the Ministry of Word and Sacrament in the Alaska Synod for the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, and holds an MDiv from Luther Seminary. They have served at Epiphany since March 2023.

Pastor Schoob is deeply committed to a multifaceted approach of care for the broader Valdez community. They serve as an active board member of SWAN (Sound Wellness Alliance Network), Connecting Ties, and as a victim advocate for Advocates for Victims of Violence (AVV).

With a deep commitment to faith and community, they invite you to join us in our shared journey of spiritual growth and support. Whether you are seeking guidance or simply looking for a welcoming space, we are here to walk beside you.
